Excellent hotel with great wi-fi, a cute lounge area, and friendly staff. They even helped me return forgotten sim cards during my first stay. I'm excited to come back for Easter!

the staff were all genuinely helpful and responsive, very good service. we loved the convenience of the junior suite available with a good amount of storage space, a view of the patio, as for instance.

Great location, next to The Grove and Farmers Market, means you can actually walk somewhere in the night time! Hotel is really cool, like a retro motel. Staff are great and the attached restaurant / bar serves good food at decent prices.

I LOVED the location being near the Grove and food, theatre, shopping was a huge draw card to stay there. I liked the quirkiness of the hotel and the staff were friendly. The hotel had an open space feeling to it ie, not claustrophobicI liked the TART restaurant and thought there wa a good choice on the menu.
The walls were very thin so we could hear everything in the next room. it was a difficult to sleep with the noise and the shutting of their door when they were coming and going I prefer carpet than vinyl flooring (but thats just me).

I liked the easy access to parts of L.A. like The Grove. Such a beautiful place, easy to just walk everywhere, hardly had to drive anywhere.

Good location nice sized rooms.
We felt the security of the room safe had been compromised whilst we were staying there. We have a standard number we use on room safes and on day evening of day two we were unable to open the safe. yet we had opened it a number of times. When we went to the front desk to ask for help we were given a instructions on how to open safe with default code. Not a satisfactory level of security. Anyone including house keeping staff could be possession of that and accessing room safes.

Well placed for most of Los Angles tourist attractions but transport is required to reach them. Restaurant was good and service was friendly. All hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Rooms were basic but sufficient if using the hotel just as a base for exploring the city.

Location definitely, and price (relative)
The average price per room per day went up 47% in less than two years. The last time I stayed at the Farmer's Daughter was in February 2010. The exact same room (size) was $119.25 per night plus $16.70 in tax, consistently each night (I still have the receipt). I booked through Booked.net. This time it was graduated depending upon hotel occupancy and averaged $200 a night. This was disappointing because nothing about accomodations has improved.

Had our booking changed as they didn't have the two beds available so offered king bed and roll out bed. We were first upset as booked 4 months in advance and even though our traveling partner was my daughter she is an adult and we didn't want to share bed. Roll out bed for 6 nighties was our concern due to comfort. But it ended up being fine
Restaurant was abit slow in service

We stay in signature double room quite often, it is new-fashioned and stylish. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, slept really good.

Beside the location, farmer's daughter is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in! It should be ranked 2 stars or less.
The pillows smelled, the beds were small and uncomfortable the AC was noisy and old the room was simply ugly. The staff were rude unfriendly not even a good morning was said to us! Although well located, however you will need a car therefore I don't advice people to be tempted by "location" LA is big and a car is a must! Too expensive for what it has to offer. Not a 4 stars for sure. The staff need to learn hospitality.
